What should you do if...

A young person has taken something and is really drowsy?

Calm and reassure them. Place them in the recovery position and call an ambulance.

A young person has taken something and has lost consciousness?

Call an ambulance. Place in the recovery position and check breathing. Be prepared to do mouth to mouth resuscitation. (The call operator will talk you through this). Check out the St. John’s ambulance website www.sja.org.uk.

Keep the young person warm but not too hot.
