General info

4-Methylethcathinone (4-MEC) is an ethylated analogue of cathinone, similar in structure and activity to Mephedrone, but with an ethyl substituent of the nitrogen atom rather than methyl in Mephedrone. It has been marketed through the Internet as a new emerging drug under the trade names NRG2 and N-Cat. Like all psychoactive substances, just because it is legal it does not mean that it is safe. There is currently very little information available about this new emerging drug.
